Vestibular Rehabilitation Program

At Gwinnett Medical Center, we understand the difficulty that can come from dizziness, vertigo or imbalance. Whether caused by a concussion or a disorder, the experts at our Vestibular Rehabilitation Program help patients return to a normal life.

Vestibular rehabilitation and balance retraining are exercises and movements that decrease dizziness, vertigo and imbalance caused by inner ear or central balance pathway disorders.

Our physical therapists are certified by the American Institute of Balance and provide treatment for peripheral disorders such as vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), as well as central disorders such as head trauma, concussion and multiple sclerosis. Physical therapy treatment varies from person to person based on symptoms and examination findings.
