Sports Psychology

Gwinnett Medical Center is dedicated to taking care of all aspects of an athlete’s care—physical and mental. That’s why our Sports Medicine Program offers a cutting-edge Sports Psychology program.

Through this program, athletes are able to optimize their sports performance and mental toughness by improving their concentration and focus. We address the psychological skills for performance improvement. Our experts are able to address the needs of high school, college and professional athletes, including applied sports psychology in an individual or team-based setting.

Our lead psychologist, licensed in sports and performance psychology, is trained in the applied practice of sport and performance psychology and is able to provide counseling for athletes struggling with injury issues, adjustment distractions, or other personal and stress-related issues.
