Sports Psychology

Our Sports Medicine Program is dedicated to taking care of all aspects of an athlete’s care—physical and mental. That’s why we offer a cutting-edge Sports Psychology program.

Through this program, athletes are able to optimize their sports performance and mental toughness by improving their concentration and focus. We address the psychological skills for performance improvement. These skills include:

  • Effective goal setting
  • Visualization/imagery
  • Attentional control and concentration techniques
  • Positive self-talk and confidence
  • Self-regulation/emotional management
  • Leadership development

Our experts are able to address the needs of high school, college and professional athletes, including applied sports psychology in an individual or team-based setting. Our sports psychologists work to help athletes suffering from concussions cope with anxiety and stress surrounding injury recovery and healthy athletes looking to improve performance and consistency. 

Our lead psychologist, licensed in sports and performance psychology, is trained in the applied practice of sport and performance psychology and is able to provide counseling for athletes struggling with injury issues, adjustment distractions, or other personal and stress-related issues.
