Danielle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Valdosta State University and a Master of Science degree in physical education from the University of North Georgia. While earning her master's, she completed a sports medicine fellowship with the Hughston Clinic. During her fellowship she worked with Auburn University’s rec center, men’s and women’s club sports teams, and intramural sports.

Danielle Gunnin has been a licensed and board-certified athletic trainer since 2015. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. Danielle joined the Gwinnett Medical Center Sports Medicine team in May 2017 as the assistant athletic trainer at Dacula High School.
