Glancy Rehabilitation Celebrates 30 Years of Caring for Patients

Glancy Rehabilitation Center celebrated its 30-year anniversary in October 2018. Founded in 1988 by medical director, Dr. Sunil Bhole, and members of the Gwinnett Medical Center administration, including Thomas Shepherd, executive vice president and Chief Operating Officer, the Glancy Rehabilitation vision came to life so that patients could receive life-saving and compassionate care closer to home.

As part of the anniversary celebration, leadership unveiled the Hall of Resilience at Glancy Rehabilitation which honors patient successes. For now, it features three patients, one from each of Glancy's first three decades. The patients honored are Floyd Perala, Karen Stewart and Bill Barry. The Hall of Resilience is designed to encourage current patients and their families during their journey of healing and Glancy staff plans to add additional patients to the wall in the future.
