Robert Ayer, MD

Dr. Ayer joined Neurosurgery & Spine Associates after having completed medical school at the Boston University School of Medicine and neurological surgery residency at Loma Linda University. He completed a fellowship in Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Neurosurgery, where he also served as clinical instructor at the University of California, Irvine and a fellowship in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Ayer took time during his neurosurgery training at Loma Linda University to work in their Neuroscience laboratory. During this time, he published numerous articles on stroke and brain injury. He also has published many articles on the clinical management of subarachnoid hemorrhage, spine trauma and spinal cord injuries. For his efforts, Loma Linda University elected him to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society (A0A), a professional medical organization that recognizes and advocates for excellence in scholarship and the highest ideals in the profession of medicine.

Dr. Ayer is Board-Eligible in Neurosurgery.


Bethwel Raore, MD

Dr. Raore is a neurosurgeon at Neurosurgery & Spine Associates with expertise in neurosurgical oncology, brain and spine trauma and complex spine surgery. He received his medical degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and completed his internship and neurological surgery residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed further training in Skull Base and Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery at the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas. He also completed a research fellowship in spinal cord therapeutics delivery, leading to an FDA approval for the first U.S. study of intraspinal stem cell transplantation in Lou Gehrig’s disease. He has published numerous articles in various disciplines within Neuroscience.

He was an assistant professor at the Clinical Neuroscience Institute for Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Raore has been inducted to the Gold Humanism Honor Society for demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service.

Dr. Raore views his patients as an extension of his own family and treats them as such. He is passionate about providing care and stays involved in international medical missions.

He enjoys spending time with his family and participating in team sports. 


Dave Seecharan, MD

Dave Seecharan, MD, joined Neurosurgery & Spine Associates after having received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his internship and neurological surgery residency at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas.

Dr. Seecharan has authored several book chapters on the surgical management of brain tumors as well as spinal cord injury. He also has extensive background in basic neuroscience research with published articles concerning neurogenetics and neuroplasticity.

Dr. Seecharan’s clinical interest in Neurosurgery includes the management and treatment of the full spectrum of neurosurgical disorders including spine, cranial, and peripheral nerve.

Dr. Seecharan is board eligible in Neurosurgery.
