Clinical Quality

Gwinnett Medical Center is committed to providing the highest level of care possible. To do this, there are numerous measures we take to ensure our staff and physicians are providing medical care at exceptional levels, our patients are receiving the best care and we as an organization are doing everything we can to transform health care for the citizens of Gwinnett County.

Hospital Quality Measures

  • The Joint Commission
The Joint Commission has developed a core set of research-based hospital quality measures, which are being used across the nation. Currently this quality information relates to the care given for patients with serious medical conditions such as heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia. Information is collected from hospitals that volunteer to provide data for public reporting. Click here to learn more about Gwinnett Medical Center’s submitted data.

Gwinnett Medical Center has joined the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Passport program to support our organization's quality improvement and patient safety work. Passport membership gives our entire staff access to a range of resources and activities designed to help us provide the best possible care to all our patients.
    • Vermont Oxford Network
We also participate in the Vermont Oxford Network, a non-profit voluntary collaboration of health care professionals dedicated to improving the quality and safety of medical care for newborn infants and their families.
