Debra Miller, MD

Medical Oncologist

Debra Miller, MD, is an experienced board-certified medical oncologist with the Center for Cancer Care and Suburban Hematology-Oncology Associates, who is happy to be back in the Atlanta area after a brief stint in Jacksonville, North Carolina—where she was voted 2016-2017 Doctor of the Year for Onslow County.

Prior to starting her career in medicine, she worked a year in molecular genetics at Duke University Medical Center.

She earned her medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest and then completed her Internal Medicine training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as well as fellowship training in Medical Oncology/Hematology.

Immediately following her training, she worked in the Cobb County area for 16 years as a medical oncologist/hematologist. Her marriage to a Naval ER physician led her briefly to North Carolina for his military commitment, but he has happily retired and will also be practicing with GMC. They have a large blended family with 7 children.

She enjoys coordinating fundraisers for cancer patients and started the Fall Fashion show in Jacksonville where 100 percent of the profits benefited those in need. In addition, she participated in the Jacksonville Dancing Stars Fundraiser to benefit the battered women’s shelter.

She enjoys reading, spending time with her children and traveling with her husband.
