Innovations in Renovations
Add these two tower projects and the sum total is a design that is unprecedented for a community
hospital. Fifteen individualized treatment units, with each specialty on its own floor, will allow GMC to have “minispecialty hospitals” within the medical center.
Each specialty unit will be staffed by highly trained nurses and supported by the latest technology.
Throughout a hospital stay, the same specialty team remains with a patient, ensuring a smooth continuity of care.
Construction will span three phases, with a projected completion date of early 2009. The scope of the project includes 172,338 square feet of new construction and 21,618 square feet of redesign and renovations.
