Student Volunteer Program

 

Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville utilizes both high school and college students in a variety of areas throughout the hospital including patient transport, day surgery, imaging and the gift shop.

NOTE: Our student volunteer program is already full for the summer 2008 program.

 

Please check back with us for opportunities for our student volunteer program in 2009.  Our student volunteer program is for teens ages 16 to 18 and is offered at our Lawrenceville campus during the months of June and July.  Students must be 16-years-old by June 1, 2009, if they wish to volunteer.

 

An application along with three references from current teachers/counselors, as well as an essay on why you wish to volunteer must be submitted for consideration.  A selection committee will then review the application and you will be notified of your acceptance.

 

Students must be able to volunteer one four-hour shift per week and must be able to volunteer seven of the eight weeks of the summer program.

Please note that we do not place volunteers for community service.
