Since 2002, all Gwinnett Medical Center facilities have become completely smoke-free, inside and out.  A Smoke-Free Campus Task Force was assembled to implement the program, and input and advice was solicited from physicians and associates who smoked at that time.  Resources were made available to them to help them quit or manage their smoking in the new smoke-free environment.
