Patient Care Excellence - Our Mission

Gwinnett Hospital System's mission is to provide quality health services to our community. The best way to meet our mission of quality health services to the people we serve is to provide the highest quality and safety possible - every day and for every patient.

Maintaining The Joint Commission's accreditation is just one way in which GHS has received national recognition for its quality. Delivering nationally recognized quality healthcare, however, starts the moment a patient comes to GHS.  If you have a concern about the quality of care provided by Gwinnett Hospital System facilities, and that concern has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you can send your complaint to the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations by mail, fax or e-mail. From registration to discharge and at all points between, GHS continuously strives for quality and service excellence. The provision of healthcare generates enormous amounts of information - at the individual level, the aggregate level and everywhere in between. In addition to internal reviews, GHS voluntarily submits data to industry groups and government agencies for the purpose of clinical benchmarking and quality evaluations.

The information provided in this Web site is offered to educate consumers about healthcare quality and patient safety and to provide a starting point for making informed decisions about healthcare options.

GHS actively participates in several industry and government efforts designed to develop standardized and consumer-friendly ways of defining, analyzing and reporting quality information. As these projects make headway, more quality reporting will be available to help you, as a consumer, make decisions.
