Nurse Residency Program


Whether you have just begun your nursing journey or you desire a new exciting path within your field, we offer a Nurse Residency Program to help you reach your chosen destination.

Gwinnett Medical Center provides a quality Nurse Residency Program twice a year, in a variety of specialty areas. The next Nurse Residency Program begins MondayAugust 11, 2008. Our program consists of a structured clinical experience for a period of three to six months, depending on your choice of specialty. We offer growth opportunities through:

 

  • 1:1 Preceptor
  • Positive feedback through peer/preceptor critiquing
  • Individualized clinical orientation
  • Didactic and case study in-services
  • Support from the program coordinator 
  • Education reimbursement
  • Continuing education

Upon completion of an orientation period of between three and six months, you are committed to 12 or 18 months of employment with Gwinnett Medical Center, as defined in your contract. Current Georgia RN licensure is required by the program start date.
