Health Status Reports
The Gwinnett Community Health Status Report (GCHSR) is produced every two years, often in conjunction with the local health department and is based on a number of data sources, including the Georgia Department of Health and Human Services’ Online Analytical Statistical Information System (OASIS). OASIS includes morbidity, mortality and maternal and child health statistics by county.
The Health System’s unique Health Status report is produced to define, trend, analyze and prioritize the healthcare needs and requirements of past and current residents of the county over a recent five-year period. This analysis provides a wealth of unique knowledge about Gwinnett County residents and their healthcare needs.
The report contains trend data for the following demographic indicators: age, gender, race/ethnicity, culture, crime, unemployment, income, education, literacy, public assistance and access to care. This report provides comparable data (by county and state) for the ten leading causes (by anatomical systems and subgroups) of hospitalization and death.
