- Breastfeeds 8-12 times in 24 hours
- 6-8 wet and 3-5 dirty diapers in 24 hours
- Moist mouth and lips
- Wakes for most feedings around the clock
- Happy after breastfeeding most of the time
- Regains or nearly regains his birth weight by two weeks of age
Signs that your older baby is getting enough milk include:
- Several very wet diapers everyday
- Soft yellow stool every few days
- Contented during and after most feedings
- Reaches growth and developmental milestones
