Gwinnett Medical Center’s Women’s Pavilion Adds Congential Heart Defects Testing for Infants
Gwinnett Medical Center’s (GMC) Women’s Pavilion recently announced the addition of pulse oximetry testing for infants. The new test, which measures the oxygen levels within the blood, helps doctors detect most of the critical congential heart defects. Such defects can go unnoticed if otherwise not tested.
100,000 Birthdays in Twenty One Years
Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC) recently announced the 100,000th baby has been delivered at the Women’s Pavilion located in Lawrenceville. GMC’s Women’s Pavilion first opened its doors in April 1991 and each year since, has averaged approximately 5,000 births.
