Pediatric Rehabilitation

It’s a comfort to know there is a local team of healthcare professionals available to provide treatment in a caring, holistic environment for children with disabilities. Using a team approach that draws on the resources of a number of therapeutic disciplines, we create individualized therapy programs that bring results.

Our pediatric therapy teams include families, physicians, physical and occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists working in concert with the child.

Comprehensive Services, Flexible Scheduling
The program provides comprehensive services and flexible scheduling based on the patient’s needs. Upon entering the program, we assess the child’s functional status before creating a goal-oriented treatment plan. And because children change and grow so rapidly, we frequently reassess our progress to assure that therapy programs stay on track.

Co-treatments are often used to help children improve in life skills such as communication and dressing. In addition, parents are trained to provide more consistent treatment in the home.

Coordinated Care
The pediatric therapy team also coordinates care with teachers, case managers and school therapists. And they provide information to ensure that everyone works consistently with the child inside and outside of therapy sessions.
