Welcome to the Transitional Year Residency Program
Gwinnett Medical Center and the Graduate Medical Education Program are proud to announce the addition of the Transitional Year Residency Program.
This one-year program is designed to provide residents the opportunity to experience a variety of specialties throughout the internship. The robust training curriculum makes it possible for individuals looking to move into a specific field (anesthesiology, dermatology and neurology, to name a few) and those looking for broad experience across specialties to begin a well-rounded career with a diverse patient population.
Our teaching and support staff are experienced, accessible and dedicated to educating the physicians of tomorrow.
Our program is dually accredited through the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). We will be matching our first class in the spring of 2016. All interested candidates can apply through ERAS.
