Inpatient Rehabilitation Services
At Glancy Rehabilitation Center, treatment is provided by a team of the area’s most experienced rehabilitation professionals. From the day of admission, patients and their families work actively with the rehabilitation team to develop goals and a treatment plan, as well as to prepare a plan for discharge.

A physiatrist—a medical doctor who specializes in rehabilitation—leads the inpatient rehabilitation team, which includes:

  • Case manager/counselor
  • Chaplain
  • Neuropsychologist
  • Nutrition specialist
  • Occupational therapist
  • The patient and family
  • Physical therapist
  • Rehabilitation nurses
  • Respiratory therapy
  • Speech-language pathologist
  • Therapeutic recreation specialist

Outpatient Program
Glancy Rehabilitation Center offers outpatient rehabilitation services for patients needing continued treatment after inpatient care or for those whose conditions do not require the intensity of an inpatient program. Our outpatient program facility features a therapy gym, an activities-of-daily-living area, a private speech-language pathology treatment room and a transitional fitness gym.

Stroke Rehabilitation Program
Brain injury resulting from a stroke can affect the senses, behavioral and thought patterns, speech, language, swallowing, and memory. Temporary or long-term paralysis can also occur.

Because stroke survivors have complex rehabilitation needs, Glancy Rehabilitation Center offers individualized inpatient and outpatient stroke rehabilitation programs. Our program combines state-of-the-art therapies with compassionate care to provide our patients with the best opportunity to achieve their maximum potential and best quality of life.

A Healing Environment
Our facility features a day room, a fully equipped therapy gym with skylights for natural lighting, an activities-of-daily-living area, a private patient dining room and a resource room. Our outside patio is designed with a variety of surfaces for use during therapy. And our therapeutic gardening area and putting green give patients an opportunity to practice leisure skills.

Rehabilitation Center Support Services
To assist in the recovery process, we offer patients, family members and the community the following support services:

  • Aphasia conversation group
  • Peer visitors (stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputee)
  • Support groups (stroke, Parkinson’s, amputee)

Rehabilitation Center Accreditations
Glancy Rehabilitation Center’s inpatient program has earned the highest level of accreditation available through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)—the Three-Year Accreditation. And Glancy Rehabilitation Center has also earned the CARF designation as a Stroke Specialty Program by demonstrating that the program meets the highest national and international standards of quality for stroke rehabilitative care.
