AIMP Services at GMC

Academic Internal Medicine Partners (AIMP) provides chronic disease management, health promotion and general medical primary care services for adults as well as primary care services for infants and children. Our facility is specifically designed so that patients of all ages and those with special health care needs, including physical disabilities and other impairments, are comfortable. Along with our compassionate, capable staff, we offer fully adjustable exam tables, mobility aids and devices to help with hearing difficulties.

AIMP offers convenient access to the Lawrenceville location of Gwinnett Medical Center’s IMPACT Preoperative Evaluation Center. This program is staffed by skilled nurse practitioners with expertise in assessing patients with chronic medical conditions to optimize your care and decrease the risk of post-surgical complications.

To ensure the complete individual is cared for, we offer a full spectrum of primary care and chronic disease management services, including:

  • Wellness Care
  • Well Woman Care, including pap test
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Post-hospitalization care management
  • Pre-operative assessment and optimization
  • Acute illness care
  • EKGs
  • Spirometry for evaluation of lung function
  • Point of care testing for chronic disease
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing
  • On site phlebotomy
  • Minor wound care and dermatological procedures


AIMP Specialized Care

To provide specialized care for seniors and those with chronic medical conditions, our board-certified physicians focus on managing complex medical conditions, health maintenance and bodily function through aging. To address these concerns, our providers offer these specialized services:

  • Pre-operative evaluation
  • Care and treatment of chronically-ill young adults transitioning from pediatric to adult care
  • Post-hospital discharge transition
  • Primary care services for infants, children and teens

AIMP proudly serves as the outpatient teaching site of the Gwinnett Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. We offer educational opportunities for resident physicians, medical students and other health professional students. As a part of our teaching program, attending physicians and resident physicians (physicians who have finished medical school and are receiving training in a specialized area such as internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, etc.) provide state-of-the-art, high quality care to patients using proven, evidence-based techniques.
