Imaging Services

Gwinnett Medical Center’s Imaging Department is committed to providing the highest quality images to Gwinnett County and surrounding areas using the latest technology. We provide a comprehensive range of imaging services, both inpatient and outpatient, to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of their patients.

Services include:

  • All-digital imaging
  • Women’s imaging
  • Interventional radiology

We contract with North Metropolitan Radiology Associates, LLP (NMRA), a group of independent practitioners (physicians who are not individually employed by the hospital) to perform all reading and interpretation of radiological images. NMRA comprises board-certified radiologists, each with his or her own sub-specialty.

New Procedure
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a new treatment used for some common orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries. PRP is a concentration of platelet cells taken from your blood, and these platelets have growth factors that may help in the healing process of chronic injuries. Growth factors are chemicals that signal the body to initiate a healing response. By injecting PRP into areas of an injury, the hope is to stimulate and optimize your body’s ability to heal the chronic conditions. Learn more about PRP at Gwinnett Medical Center.
