Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville offers a full-service Emergency Department, including a Level II trauma center. And while we hope you’ll never need our Emergency Department, we’re open to care for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are staffed by expert doctors and nurses specially trained in emergency care.

Our Emergency Department serves an average of 300 people every day. In general, evenings, weekends and holidays are our busiest times and patients arriving during these periods can expect a slightly longer wait.

Emergency Nurses Cancel Alcohol Related Emergencies (ENCARE)
The goal of the ENCARE program is to educate teens about the potentially deadly effects of drinking and driving. The program exposes them to the results of such behavior via stories and real-life images from videos, slides and pictures of accident victims and mock crash scenes.

Teens hear about the consequences—injuries, jail time, even death—of drinking and driving. The program, presented by our RNs, visits schools and churches within the community.
